The inaugural 2026 Jining International Construction Machinery and Mining Equipment Expo officially opened on September 5 at the Jining High-tech International Convention and Exhibition Center, running through September 7. With a theme of "Smart Manufacturing, Green Initiatives, and Global Connectivity," the three-day event marks a milestone for this major equipment manufacturing hub, bringing together over 300 upstream and downstream enterprises across a 70,000-square-meter exhibition area . 

The expo focuses on six core sectors: new energy construction machinery, intelligent unmanned equipment, AI-driven project management, AR smart construction, core components, and specialized mining equipment . Both indoor pavilions and an outdoor live demonstration zone allow visitors to witness equipment performance firsthand .

 Significantly, the expo concurrently hosts the 7th Shandong-Hunan Construction Machinery Industry Chain Cooperation Exchange – the first time this cross-provincial event has been held outside the provincial capitals of Jinan and Changsha. Around 200 delegates from government, research institutes, and leading enterprises are participating in collaborative discussions . 

International engagement is strong, with dedicated matchmaking events connecting domestic suppliers with over 200 overseas buyers from Southeast Asia, Europe, Russia, and beyond . Moroccan partner Amin praised the expo, noting he "found the trucks and excavators" needed for his operations . Exhibitors like Shantui, Komatsu, and are showcasing their latest intelligent product lines . Komatsu reported hosting over 30 customer groups within the first hour of opening . Jining, one of China's six major construction machinery production bases, boasts a complete industrial ecosystem with a local parts matching rate exceeding 70% . The expo provides a vital platform to leverage this strength, transforming domestic manufacturing advantages into global trade opportunities .
